PLEASE NOTE: We will be closed early December 24th through January 2nd. Happy Holidays!
Q: What can you digitize?
A: We are able to scan all types of photo prints, slides and negatives.
In certain cases we have to use a more time-consuming process (super-slides, for example)
and will add a small charge for the extra labor once we have notified you. We can transfer
most forms of consumer video (VHS, VHS-C, Hi8, etc.), consumer audio (Reel-to-Reel, Vinyl, Cassettes, etc.) and offer 8mm, Super 8, Super 8 with sound, and
16mm film transfer, with or without sound.
Q: How much are your services?
A: Our rates are listed in three places; the 'prices & order info' section, the
individual sections for each type of media, and the order form (which will automatically
calculate your order total when you fill it out on-screen).
Q: How fast can you turn around the order?
A: Our focus is on doing the job properly, and at a comfortably efficient
pace. Typical turnaround times are 2 weeks for orders under $200, and over 4 weeks for orders
over $500. There are seasonal variations, and these times are not guaranteed. For customers
in a hurry we will usually meet a deadline for a rush fee.
Q: Why not scan and transfer my media at home myself?
A: The process of scanning still images and transferring video or film
is very time-consuming, and unless you have a lot of experience in photography,
digital imaging or video editing, you most likely need to spend even more time learning how to
produce an acceptable result. Add the cost of equipment on top of the cost of your time spent,
and we think you'll find we offer a better price as well as a better product. If you would like
to give it a try yourself, call us and we'll give you some tips.
Q: How should I organize my media?
A: However you wish. We'll recognize any grouping you designate, and we'll
make sure to organize the digital files the same way you organize the original material. When
shipping, make sure to pack the materials tight and safe.
Q: What does your 100% satisfaction guarantee mean?
A: It means we do everything in our power to exceed your expectations. If
we need to give it a second try, we will. And if you are still not satisfied, then we'll give
you a refund on the entire order.
Q: These are my priceless memories. Do you understand their importance
and can you guarantee they are well cared for?
A: Yes, we are fully aware of the importance these different types of media
hold on a personal level. We have our own pictures and films to protect and cherish too. We can
guarantee that the order is safe and kept as secure as possible during scanning or transfer, and
we understand that one lost memory is not only hard on the customer but fatal for our business.
Q: How long have you been in business?
A: The company itself was established in early 2007, but the main owner has been
in this specific business since 2004 and has a background in film and interactive multimedia.
Combined with a staff of digital imaging professionals, we have a lifetime of knowledge in the field.
This website is built and maintained in-house as testament to our digital savvy.
Q: Where do I leave my payment information?
A: We do not take payment information through our website, and do not require actual payment until the order is complete. For orders dropped off in person we do require credit card information or up to 50% cash deposit on the estimate. For all others we ask that you call in credit card information when the order is completed, before shipping or delivery.
Q: What is the best way to ship to you?
A: If you are shipping, make sure to use a service that gives
you a tracking number, which means every time the package reaches a transfer point along the
way to our lab, it is scanned into the system and the shipping company can better keep track
of where it is. Pack everything carefully, and use ziploc bags or bubble wrap for loose items.
